Erupting, Eyjafjallajökull Volcano, Iceland
Made on the last night of my trip to photograph Eyjafjallajökull. We had a spectacular evening with perfectly clear skies, and to boot the volcano was the most active it had been since my arrival.
This image was made with a 200mm lens and shows wonderful detail of the lava illuminating the steam and ash clouds, as well as the trails of exploding rock.
